African Adventures is an award-winning volunteer travel organisation, dedicated to improving lives in the UK and Africa. We are partnered with 25 projects in deprived areas of Ghana, Kenya and Zanzibar, which exist to give children access to a quality education, food and opportunity. We only work with projects that have been set up by, and are run by, local people; no UK staff are based in Africa. We work with the project staff to provide the humanitarian and financial support that they require to expedite the projects’ development. At the same time, we offer students the opportunity to volunteer in Africa, learn about a different culture, and play their part in instigating sustainable change, whilst experiencing the adventure of a lifetime.
Our trips are tailored to meet your students’ educational and personal development needs. A dedicated Groups Manager will work with you to create the package that is right for you, and they will be with you every step of the way. They will support you with everything, including provision of information to parents, fundraising ideas, and practical trip preparation. We aim to make your life a little easier by taking a lot of the work away, allowing you to prepare yourself and your students for the incredible adventure ahead. Our trips are offered at great value for money, with an all-inclusive package and no hidden costs. We want our trips to be available to all, and fundraising is a fantastic tool to support affordability, whilst also encouraging responsibility and entrepreneurialism in students. Your students will be able to focus on the volunteer role which most suits them, and there is the chance for all to get involved in some community work. We believe that everyone has something special to offer, regardless of their skills and background. As part of the trip, you can elect to take a weekend adventure; a fantastic opportunity to experience the culture and beauty of the country you are visiting and a chance to wind down after a hard work volunteering.
African Adventures believes in providing a volunteer experience where you can make a tangible difference; it is vital to us that there are two-way benefits, as this is what makes our work worthwhile. 98% of young people surveyed said that they would recommend our trips to other young people – so, why not start organising the trip of a lifetime for your students today?
