Council for Learning Outside the Classroom National Conference – Striving for Excellence in LOtC.

10th November, JCA Condover Hall, Condover, Shropshire

On November the 10th, the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom will be hosting its third national conference, ‘Striving for Excellence in LOtC’, and we hope you will be joining us.

Our programme this year aims to encourage delegates to take the next steps towards providing excellent learning outside the classroom opportunities that are frequent, continuous and progressive.   Whether you are an experienced LOtC practitioner or have only recently become engaged with the LOtC agenda, this is a great opportunity to network with like-minded people and take part in a range of workshops that offer ideas and guidance to take your LOtC provision to the next level.

This year we are delighted to welcome mountaineer, Rhys Jones, as one of our guest speakers.  Rhys is a great advocate of LOtC and will speak of his own LOtC experiences, his inspiration, his adventures and his amazing achievement in becoming the youngest person to climb the world’s seven highest peaks.

You can also expect to hear from two exemplar schools, Western Springs Primary who have successfully used LOtC to help bring the school out of special measures and are the winners of the LOtC Awards 2010 and Macmillian Academy who provide an extensive range of outdoor learning programmes.

Whether you are a teacher, headteacher, LOtC practitioner or LOtC provider, you are sure to find some inspiration from the event.  View the Striving for Excellence in LOtC programme online and book your place.
